Gruyere and Bacon Frittata

Cheesy, savory, easy to make frittata. Perfect brunch dish.

Ingredients

  • 6 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup cream
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup gruyere cheese (shredded)
  • 6 slices bacon (chopped)
  • 1/2 small yellow onion (diced)
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F

  2. Cook the bacon over medium heat until crispy

  3. Transfer bacon to a paper towel-lined plate, leave about a tablespoon of bacon the bacon fat in the skillet

  4. Add diced onions to the skillet and saute until soft

  5. Whisk together eggs, cream, salt, and pepper

  6. Stir in shredded cheese and bacon

  7. Add butter to skillet to coat

  8. Pour egg mixture into the skillet over the onions. Distribute fillings evenly with spatula

  9. Put skillet in the oven and bake for 13-16 minutes

  10. Remove skillet from oven and let cool for several minutes
