Spinach and Muenster Quiche

A simple, savory, Spinach and Muenster Quiche - with a creamy custard base, flaky pie crust, and rich flavor. Perfect for brunch or a light meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 deep dish pie shell
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
  • 6 oz Muenster cheese, grated / shredded
  • 10 oz of frozen chopped spinach.

Instructions

    Preheat oven to 375°

    Microwave the spinach, drain in a sieve and set aside. Use a fork to press the spinach to remove any excess water.

    Put the eggs and heavy cream in a mixing bowl and mix with a hand electric mixer. Add spinach and grated cheese to mixture and thoroughly stir together with a spoon.

    Pour the egg / cream / cheese/ spinach mixture into the pie shell.

    Cook on a cookie sheet in the oven for 30 to 35 minutes or until the center of the quiche is firm

    Let the quiche cool / set for 5-10 minutes. Enjoy immediately or refrigerate and reheat later
