Old New England comfort food, completely unrelated to chop suey

Ingredients

  • 1-2 lbs ground beef
  • 1 yellow onion, diced
  • 2-4 cloves minced garlic (to taste)
  • Crushed tomatoes (one large can)
  • Elbow macaroni (1 box)
  • Salt to taste
  • Tomato sauce (optional)
  • Butter

Instructions

    Cook elbows

    Fry onion and garlic in butter until soft
  3. 3
    And ground beef and cook until brown
  4. 4
    Add crushed tomatoes and salt the mixture liberally. For thicker sauce, add a small bit of tomato sauce
  5. 5
    When the mixture is warm, add elbows and mix thoroughly
