American Chop Suey
Old New England comfort food, completely unrelated to chop suey
Ingredients
- 1-2 lbs ground beef
- 1 yellow onion, diced
- 2-4 cloves minced garlic (to taste)
- Crushed tomatoes (one large can)
- Elbow macaroni (1 box)
- Salt to taste
- Tomato sauce (optional)
- Butter

Instructions

1Cook elbows

2Fry onion and garlic in butter until soft

3And ground beef and cook until brown

4Add crushed tomatoes and salt the mixture liberally. For thicker sauce, add a small bit of tomato sauce

5When the mixture is warm, add elbows and mix thoroughly
