Ingredients

  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning (or 1 tbsp chili powder + 1 tsp cumin + 1/2 tsp garlic powder)
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 8 taco shells (hard or soft)
  • Toppings: shredded lettuce, cheddar, salsa, sour cream

Instructions

    Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium-high heat, 5–7 minutes, breaking it apart, until no pink remains. Drain excess fat.

    Reduce to medium. Add the taco seasoning and water; stir well.

    Simmer 3–5 minutes until the liquid reduces and coats the beef.
