- 1/2 cup (1 stick) cold unsalted butter, cubed
- 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1/3 cup fresh chives, finely chopped
- 3/4 cup cold whole milk (plus 1 tbsp for brushing)

1Preheat oven to 400°F (204°C).

3In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and garlic powder.
