Cheesy Family Baked Ziti

A crowd-pleasing, ultra-affordable Italian-American bake that easily satisfies a massive household using pasta, jarred marinara, and gooey melted cheese.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Dry ziti or penne pasta
  • 1 jar (24oz) Your favorite brand of marinara sauce
  • 1 can (14.5oz) Diced tomatoes (un-drained)
  • 2 cups Shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
  • 1/2 cup Grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp Dried Italian seasoning mix
  • To taste Salt and black pepper

    Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a large 9x13 inch baking dish.

    Boil a large pot of salted water . Cook the ziti pasta until it is just shy of al dente (about 2 minutes less than box directions), then drain.

    In a very large bowl, combine the boiled pasta, jar of marinara sauce, un-drained diced tomatoes, Italian seasoning, and 1 cup of the shredded mozzarella cheese.
