Clafoutis aux Cerises

Ingredients
- 1.25 cups Whole milk
- 1/3 cup Granulated sugar
- 3 Large eggs
- 1 tbsp Vanilla extract
- 1/8 tsp Almond extract
- 1/2 cup All-purpose flour
- 3 cups Fresh sweet black cherries, pitted
- Powdered sugar For dusting

Instructions

1Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round baking dish or pie pan with butter . In a blender , combine the milk, eggs, sugar , flour , vanilla extract, and almond extract.

2Blend at high speed for 1 minute until completely smooth and frothy.

3Pour a thin layer of the batter (about 1/4 inch) into the bottom of the greased baking dish.

4Place the dish on a hot stovetop burner for 1 to 2 minutes until a film of batter sets at the bottom, then remove from heat.

5Spread the sweet cherries evenly over this set layer of batter . Pour the remaining liquid batter carefully over the top of the cherries.

6Bake in the center of the oven for 45 to 50 minutes until the clafoutis is puffed up, golden brown around the edges, and a toothpick inserted into the custard center comes out clean.

7Dust with powdered sugar and serve warm.
