Baked Cabbage and Bacon — a recipe imported from the Wikibooks Cookbook.

Ingredients

  • 1 head of green cabbage, sliced and/or diced
  • Bacon, chopped
  • Butter
  • Parsley
  • 1 egg
  • Grated cheese
  • Cayenne pepper
  • ½ onion, roughly chopped
  • Salt

Instructions

    Boil the cabbage until tender. Drain.

    Fry the chopped bacon in butter.
  3. 3
    Combine the cooked cabbage, bacon, parsley, egg, cheese, cayenne, and chopped onion. Season to taste with salt.

    Transfer mixture to a glass baking dish. Bake 15 minutes at 180˚C.

    Serve with toasted bread.
