New Features: Collections, Enhanced Search, and Screen Lock
We’ve been hard at work expanding recipe.exchange’s capabilities. Here’s what’s new:
Collections
You can now organize your favorite recipes into collections! Whether you’re building a weekly meal plan, gathering holiday recipes, or creating a collection of quick weeknight dinners, collections make it easy to keep your recipes organized.
Collections features include:
- Create private or public collections
- Add recipes to multiple collections
- Easily manage and reorder recipes within collections
- Share your collections with others (when public)
- Print entire collections for offline use

Enhanced Search Experience
Finding recipes just got easier with new search capabilities. You can now filter recipes by cooking time, category, cuisine, cooking method and dietary preference.
The search interface is accessible both from our home page and through the navigation bar, making it easy to find recipes from anywhere on the site.
Screen Lock Feature
Keep your screen on while cooking with our new screen lock feature. Available from the action buttons under the ingredients list, this prevents your device’s screen from going dark when your hands are messy from cooking. No more fumbling to wake up your screen mid-recipe!
AT Protocol Integration Updates
For the technically curious, we’ve expanded our AT Protocol lexicons to support the new collections functionality. This continues our commitment to building recipe.exchange as a truly decentralized platform where you maintain control of your content. You can view our updated lexicons on our lexicons page.
Growing Recipe Database
We’ve heard your requests for more recipes, and we’re actively working on expanding our recipe database. We’re taking a measured approach to ensure all recipes meet our quality standards while maintaining the clean, clutter-free experience you’ve come to expect from recipe.exchange.
